Webcam Info

This website has been online since March 2017 and is continuing to grow in popularity.  Both webcam streams are uploaded to an online server, which buffers the content before re-broadcasting back to you with a few seconds delay, in order to give you a better viewing experience of up to 30fps depending on your internet connection.  We are located 3 miles from Runway 05 touchdown, directly under the flight path, looking NE towards the Airport.  Wind direction is key!  Aircraft will always take off and land into the wind.  Here at Glasgow Airport, the prevailing winds are generally from the SW, so Runway 23 is mostly used.  These webcams are optimised for PC & Laptop, but you can have some good results with mobile/tablet etc (use wifi, as streaming may consume your data).

Both cameras have 'Time-Shift' feature allowing you to scroll back the timer at the bottom of the image, letting you replay and view earlier flights for up to 4 hours  This is a great feature to play around with.  Look at FlightRadar24 on our 'Members Page', click on the Glasgow Airport 'blue pin' and look at the landing time of the flight you want to see, 'load earlier flights' if it's a while back.  Now go to the webcam and just move the slider back, keeping an eye on the time at the top of the screen, then watch.  All times are local.  This feature will not work on mobile.

The camera's will stream from 9am till sunset as a minimum, but will usually run longer.

Camera 1You will see ALL Arrivals & Departures for Runway 05 & 23 due to the cameras elevated position.  The camera has a focal length of 300mm.  Good visibility is required as the camera is 3 miles from the runway.  The actual runway is obscured by trees, but aircraft are visible around 100ft above the runway.

Camera 2 -  This camera will capture Runway 23 Departures (flying towards the camera) & Runway 05 Arrivals (flying away from the camera).  The camera has a focal length of 350mm, angled upwards, showing aircraft around 1.5 to 2 miles from the Airport, giving a much closer view.

Due to the distance from camera to aircraft, low cloud base or heavy rain may result in aircraft not being visible.

There is no audio from either webcam due to the distance from the flights.
